HOW IT WORKS

1. Pick Your Craft

From terrariums to candle-making, seasonal decor to zen gardens, we’ve got plenty of options. Want to keep things low-cost or go all-out? We'll help you choose a craft that suits your crowd and your fundraising goals.

2. Set Your Ticket Price

Most crafts fall in the $40-$65 range, which covers supplies, instruction, and set-up.
You choose your ticket price above that baseline—and the difference goes directly to your organization.

For example:
$60 ticket = $40 to The Crafty Kit / $20 to your cause
$55 ticket = $40 to The Crafty Kit / $15 to your cause
$50 ticket = $40 to The Crafty Kit / $10 to your cause.

We’ll work with your budget and offer modifications to help maximize profits and turnout.

3. Choose a Date
 +
Lock It In

Once we have your date, we’ll prep everything behind the scenes—no spreadsheets, no stress.

4. We Come to You (or Host You in Westwood, NJ)

Whether you're throwing a big in-person bash or planning a more intimate studio fundraiser, we can host in our space or travel to you. You collect ticket payments; we handle the rest.

5. Enjoy the Event + Raise That Money

Your guests will get hands-on with a fun, meaningful craft while supporting your cause. No silent auction guilt-tripping required.

A Note from Our Founder

Hi, I’m Kat — the hands (and heart) behind The Crafty Kit.Crafting has always been my safe space. When I was going through cancer treatment, it became more than just a creative outlet — it was how I coped. On the days I couldn’t get out of bed, I could still use my hands. I could still make something. It reminded me I was still here. Still me.That’s the heart of this business: helping people connect, create, and feel a little more like themselves — especially during life’s harder seasons.Fundraisers with The Crafty Kit aren’t just about raising money (though we’re proud to help our partners do that beautifully). They’re about community. About gathering with intention. About offering people a meaningful, hands-on way to support the causes they care about — and leave with something they made, with love.If that sounds like your kind of event, I’d be honored to help bring it to life.Let’s get crafting.

 —Kat

FREQUENTLY
ASKED
QUESTIONS

Q: How much does it cost to host a fundraiser with The Crafty Kit?

Most of our craft projects cost between $40-$65 per participant, which covers all materials, instruction, and setup. You choose your ticket price above that baseline, and the rest goes directly to your cause. We’re happy to work with your budget and adjust the project to meet your goals.

Q: What crafts are best for fundraisers?

Terrariums are a crowd favorite — especially the 2-succulent version at $40 per person—but we also love candle pouring, zen gardens, or seasonal crafts depending on the time of year. If you have something in mind, let us know and we’ll customize the experience for your event.

Q: Can you host at our venue?

Yes! We offer mobile events across New Jersey and beyond. Just give us the date, time, and address—and we’ll take care of the rest. Don’t have a venue? We can also host at our studio in Westwood, NJ.

Q: How do we handle payment?

We’ll send an invoice to the host organization 7 days before the event. Typically, you’ll collect ticket payments from attendees and use those to pay the invoice. We can accommodate last-minute add-ons up to 24 hours before the event, but we can’t reduce the final headcount after that point.

Q: Can we include raffles, food, or other activities at the fundraiser?

Absolutely. We love when our craft events are part of something bigger. Whether you're hosting a full community night or a small gathering, we’ll help you fit crafting into the flow of your event.

Q: Do attendees need to be “crafty”?

Nope. Our events are designed for beginners and seasoned crafters alike. No stress, no pressure—just hands-on fun and a beautiful takeaway.

Q: What’s the ideal group size?

We recommend 10–50 participants for fundraisers, but we’ve done both smaller and larger groups. If you’re planning a larger event, let’s talk about logistics and staffing to make sure it’s seamless.

Q: Can we promote this on social media or through our organization?

Yes please! We’re happy to provide promotional graphics, copy, and photos to help spread the word and maximize ticket sales.
